… and thank you for visiting my website!

Here you’ll find regular updates and news about my work, exhibitions and other events.

As a versatile mixed-media artist, I believe art should tell a meaningful story to the beholder. So, as you browse  through this site you will see that my narrative style of work is very much based on encapsulating my own personal memories and experiences, yet illustrated in a way that can be interpreted individually by the viewer. You can read more about me and my style of work here.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch with any feedback, or just to say hello, I would love to hear from you.

The Derbyshire Open Arts is now upon us. Chapel en le Frith is now on the map as we have formed a new group called Peak Vision Arts exhibiting in Chapel Scout Hut, Thornbrook Road, just off the High Street. The group of six consists of Julia Brownsword, Mixed Media 3D (designs applied to textiles on lampshades, cushions and lanterns); Liz Challinor, Illustration 2D; Yuka Jourdain, Jewellery 3D; Lynne McPeake, Photography 2D; Louise Neilson, Ceramics 3D (The Peak Potter); Ingrid Katarina Karlsson, Mixed Media Narrative Art 2D.

The maps below show a) where PDA members are spread out over the county, I am in Chapel en le Frith; b) the High Peak Trail showing Whaley Bridge and Chapel en le Frith. You can also go to the Derbyshire Open Arts web site for the fancy google interactive map, and plan your own trail:
